My mom has two pretty little finches that make lots of noise. Mostly pleasant, but noise nonetheless. And Jaden, being the curious tiny man he is, LOVES anything that makes noise. So, he walks to the birds and says, "Birrr" Then he proceeds to shake their cage. I'm surprised he doesn't yet say, "No Jaden!"
We also take him out on the back porch quiet a bit. He ate breakfast there this morning, and we had a breakfast guest. One of the neighborhood cats was hanging out with us. So we kept saying, "Jaden, CAT!! Meow...." A bit ago I asked him where the cat was, and he points outside and says, "Dat!"
awwww..... what fun being a mommy is!
Oh, and I also should mention that I'm a woman obsessed. I'm on a sewing KICK! I woke up early this morning, got Maleah breakfast, then headed back up to my mom's sewing room. I have a bunch of flannel that I bought ages ago, to make rag quilts with. I made one for my bro and sis in law for christmas, but wasn't too happy with how it turned out. It WAS my first ever quilt, and I got frustrated. Crazy, huh? I mean REALLY how hard is it to do a rag quilt?? uggg... So, I cut the squares today, and got to sewing. I didn't sew them all, but I did get them all cut out, with is a big thing with me. I HATE the cutting part of quilting. So, I'm hoping to enjoy a nice glass of wine tonight and sew sew sew some more. If I don't watch a movie with the hubby instead!
Yes, Jennifer, I am LOVING this sewing thing! It's making me really wish I had bought all those awesome patterns we got in (you know, a LONG time ago when I was still a Gussy Goosey!!) I'm going to cause us to go bankrupt with all the fabric and sewing things I'm gonna go gaga over when we get back to the states. I had to hold myself WAY back at the Multi Crafts store..... I don't know if I could have the same restraint next time..... And you know what? I've been thinking more about sewing than scrapbooking..... way not like me!! But I'm obsessed and want to do more more MORE!!!!!

so funny! I was just thinking about how it was too bad that I missed you that day (kids were getting cranky.... truthfully? hubby too!) I'm hoping I can come back soon! Maybe one day when my mom comes to work I can hitch a ride(MINUS kids and hubby!).... plus I'm looking for a job, so maybe I'll have base access soon. Can't wait to see you!
The thing that stops me from making the rag quilt is all the snipping! Glad you are feeding your creative side and having fun with it!

I'm with Corinnea about feeding your creative side. It must be done to remain sane. Now I know why I was so out of control in High School; I didn't sew enough. I was teased soooo bad in Junior High for the ridiculous clothes I would make so I think I didn't sew very much for a couple of years. Sew Mama Sew! You go girl!
